tremor of excitement over the "gala week"

On last Saturday MaJ. Arthur Parker entertained
at a dining a tew or tala friends. Upon

Mr. J. C. Gnlllebeau is spending tbe week
In tbe olty with bis daughter, Mrs. Olbert,
and will of course enjoy the festivities of the
Mrs. M. M. Thornton spent last week wltb
her son, Mr. J. R. Tbornton and family.
Mrs. Walter Wilson 1b yet quite sick. Her
many friends hope she will soon be well
again.
Mrs. Maggie Sberard spent a day or two of
last week visiting friends at Wllllngton.
Mrs. J. L. Kennedy, of Bellvue^jspent last
Saturday with her daughter, Mrs. Edwin Par

Mr. John Evans, of Clemson, visited relatives
at Lebanon last week.
Mr. Hiram W. Lawson, one of the "star"

will also give on Thursday evening, the 19th
instant, an old fashioned "ante-bellum" supper?turkey,
ham, salads, oysters and everything
good. So oome and help along a good
cause, for In so doing we perpetuate the memory
of the old Confederate Veterans, their
sons and daughters, and keep alive that memory
that shonld barn In every Soathern heart.

at the office of Supervisors of Registration
in .the Court House, between the i
hour 9 o'clock a. m., and 3 o'clock p
m., on the first Monday of each i
month, and kept open for three successive
days in each month until
thirty days before the next general
election.
Any person whose qualifications as
an elector will be completed after the ;
closing of the Registration Books but
before the next election shall have the
right to apply for and secure a regis- I
tration certificate at any time within
sixty days immediately preceding
the closing of the Registration Books,

The registration of voters must be
by polling precincts. There must be a

resides. If there is more than one
voting place in the polling precinct,
the elector may vote at any votiug
place designated on the registration

polling precincts, the Boards shall
designate on the certificate the voting
place selected by the elector.
