In a recent bulletin reviewing the
work of road Improvement In New
York state State Engine* Bond says:
The legislature approprited $420,000
for road Improvement tils year, and

I 20 roads, having a total mileage of 45
miles, have been improved at a cost of
r $307,GOO; that 30 roads, having a mile
age of 122 miles, are now undergoing

those whose Improvement Is suggested

been constructed In 23 counties, covering

which the state will have paid

years or more that it has been in

similar laws, but they are not general.
