Around the City.
The lawn party given under the auspices
of, and for the benetit of the Baptist church
was a grand success. All present seemed to
enjoy themselves very much, and nowhere
can there be found a place more suitable for
(he occasion than is Mr. Thomson's.
Mr. Tom Urant I'errin, left for Atlanta yesterday,
where he will spend a lew (lays, and
from Atlanta be will go to Cleinson College

There has been considerable stir on our
streets the last lew days, the cause being the
election. All of the conclave were in town
Saturday, and some of them Monday, they
themselves make a crowd.
Mr. John W. Yates, one of the most popular
engineers on the S. A. L. has been pulling
glass windows for the past week, he

wedding tour.
Cap Jones, is also pulling passengers In
