Ninety-Six, S. C., l>ec. 17,1S5M.
On Sunday night, the 9th instant, at tbe
parsonage In Ninety-Six, Mr. Clarence Kobn
was united in marriage to Miss Tharp, daughter
of Mr. John Tbarp, near Greenwood.
Cashier James W. Greene, of the Bank of
Greenwood, was in our town last Friday on
business.
Upon a canvass of our town we find our
merchants in a healthful, prosperous, condition
and collections have been pretty good.

of her grandfather, Mr. J. J. Cooper,
MiSs Florence Proctor was happily married to
Mr. Martin, of Laurens county. Miss
Proctor was one of our most popular young

leave. The young couple will make their
home In Laurens county.
' Messrs. Smith, Anderson and Bozeman have
. \ pnrcbased a fine race horse. He Is a beauty.
Mr.Madison Richardson is lying quite ill at

note of them next week.
Capt. Mays, of Kentucky, is here with some
fine horses and mules.
A native race horse will be sold here, at au ction,
on the 27th Instant.
Messrs. Cason & swindler had a large Kale
of unclaimed goods left with them lor repairs
last Saturday, guns, pistols, watches, clocks.
<"Dowu they go. We mean the salaries ol the
