Tapgart and Thomas Chiles went to the Flatwoeds hunting last week. They killed 72. This is pretty good for amateurs. d' Some of our town farmers killed hogs last u" * week. Mr. J. F. Clinkscales killed four that netted him 1160 pounds. Judge Cook killed one that netted him 305 pounds. A good many more killed, but we did not learn the weights. . D< Mr. H. D. Pressly left for Florida last Ihurs- si day. Troy is getting to be well represented so in the Land of Flowers. There will be preaching in the Associate 81 Reformed Presbyterian church next Thurs- D day at half-past 11 o'clock. O. Miss Laviola Keel will leave for Mexico next Thursday to enter the missionary Held ac from the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Li church at this place. There will be a farewell meeting in the church next Wednesday night. May God bless this young lady in the foreign fields. Mr. T. M. Dendy is having him a nice office f put in his store. He is a man of taste. 'a Mr. J. H. Turner, of Edgefield county, Sc moved in town last Thursday. He will open out a first-class wacon and carriage shop This is something Troy needs. The ceremony took x! place at the residence ot the bride's uocle, fe Capt. Joel W. Lltes, in the presence of relatives and many friends, and was performed in a most impressive manner by Rev. E. J. Forrester. The house was beautifully decorated with chrysanthemums, pink and white x< predominating. Promptly at eleven o'clock. j0 preceding the bride came Misses Kate and eri Allie Watson, carrying a bunch of chrysan- 1 themams, separating and making room for ^ the bandseme couple who followed, taking j-j. their position under a marriage yoke and bell made of pink and white crysanthemums. The lovely bride was attired in a becoming j0j and elegant traveling costume of green, bear- ut ing in her band chrysanthemums. After ooDgratalations and the "sad good bye" were said, the happy couple left on the 12.45 train for Bennettsville, where an elegant reception awaited them. ac The presents were numerous ?uu among which was a handsome watch and an chain, the gift of the groom.
