We Need Clover.
? This country needs clover and other grasses
and we should pay more attention to pastures.
Last Monday we had a call Irom Mr.
T, Vosburgh, of Mexioo, Pa., who Is disposing
of samples of seed clover to our people. He
gave the agricultural editors of the vltlage
seed to sow an acre or two, and we intend to
' have aclover patch.
It Is said tuat clover ou the red hills of
North Carolina was the salvation of that
State a few years ago, when the crops were
> short. If the old North State flourishes on
' clover, why should South Carolina cattle suffer
the pangs of hunger.
