Tribute to the Memory or a Good Woman. Mrs. Elizabeth Caroline -Moore, wire or \v. C. Moore, daughter of Jaines A. and Mahala M. ShilUto. died at the home of her cliildhood, Saturday, October Oth, at 3 o'clock, I*. M. .Mrs. Moore was born and raised io Abbeville, and here lived the greater pui't of her life; while in ihe l)loocn and beauty of young womanhood became the bride of our townsman \V. C. Moore, and till the day of lier death, has ever been the same constant, true and loving wife. Asa mother she was fond ! and affectionate, devoted to her family; a j loving and tender sister. Mrs. Moore joined the M. K. Church at Abbeville when young in years, and although for a long time deprived of being an active member she has, by her gentle, patient and self| sacrificing life left us an example worthy j of imitation. The last three years of lier life she was a great sufferer ; confined almost entirely to lier room for last two years and during all this confinement and sulferlng not a j word of murmur was ever heard. Forgetful | of set f, ever evincing the affectionate interest i iii these around her its in days of health, [striving to cheer them with a bright face when her own heart, wsis sad and bowed down with grief. A few days before hei death she received with her pastor and family the sacrement of the Lord's Supper much to her comfort.
