This is to certify that I have been
blind for the last three years, during
which time I have spent several hundred
dollars in trying to obtain relief,
the greater part of which I spent in Atlanta,
Ga., (under treatment of parties
making diseases of the eye a specialty,)
without obtaining any relief, whatever. '
I nad almost dispaired of ever beinj'
able to see, when Dr. Gurley informed
me that by an operation for the removal
of Cataract, the chances would be about
nineteen out of'twenty ?n my favor 01 ontaining
sight. I consented, and on the
17th of February last, lie operated upon
my eyes, and on the 7th day afterwards
I was able'to distinguish objects at a distance,
and my sitfht is still improving,
so much so, that I find no difficulty in
walking about wherever I desire. The
operation was not as painful as I expected
and since I have experienced but
little pain. I can cheerfully recommend
Dr. Gurley to all persons suffering
from diseases of the eye.

such as Coughs, Colds, Whooping
Cough, Bronchitis, Anthma,
and Consumption. >'
Probably never before in the whole history of
medicine, has any thing won so widely and sa
deeplv upon the confidence of mankind, as this
excellent remedy for pulmonaiy complaints.
- Through a long scries of years, and among most
of the races of men it has risen higher and higher
in their estimation, as it has become better known,
its uniform character and power to cure the various
affections of tlic lungs and. throat, hard .
made it known as a reliable protector against
them. While adapted to milder forms of disease
and to young children, it is at the same time the
most effectual remedy that can bo given for incipient
consun-p'ion, and the dangerous affection?
of the throat and lungs. As a provision Against
sudden attacks of Croupt it should be kept oa
hand in every family, and indeed as all are sometimes
subject to colas and coughs, all shonld be
provided with this antidote for them. *
Although settled Consumption is thought in*
curable, still great numbers of cases whpro the
disease seemed settled, have been completely
cured, and tho patient restored to 60uud health
by tho Cherry Pectoral. So complete is its
mastery over the disorders of the Lungs and
Throat, that the most obstinate of them yield to it.
When nothing else could reach them, under tho
Cherry Pectoral they sub.-ide and disappear.
Singers and Public Speaker* find great
protection from it.
Anthtna is always relieved and often wholly
curea dy it.
EroiichiUa is generaliv cured by taking the
Cherry Pectoral in small and frequent doses.
So generally ar? its viitues known, that we
need not publish the ctrtitleates of them here, or
do more than assure tie public that its qualities
Are flilly maintained.
Ayer's Ague Cure,
For Fever and Ague, Intermittent Fever,
Chill Fever, Eemittent Fev^r, Dumb
Ague, Periodical or Bilious Fever, Ac.,
and indeed all the affeotiona which arise
from malarious, marsh, or miasmatio
poisons.
As its name implies, it does Cure, and docs not
foil. Containing neither Arsenic, Quinine, Bis*
inulii, Zinc, nor any other mineral or poisonous
siibatanre whatever, it in nowise injures any pv
tient. The number and importance of its cures
in the ague district*, are literally beyond account,
and we believe without a parallel in the history
of Ague medicine. Our pride is gratified by the

effected in obstinate cases, and where other remedies
had wholly failed.
Unacolimnted" persons, either resident in. or
travelling through miasmatic localities, will be
protected by taking the AG-UB CVJiE duily.
For Liver Complaint*, arising from torpidity
of the Ltver, it Is an excellent remedy, stimu*

For Bilious Disorders aud Liver'Complaints, it
is an excellenttemedy, producing many truly ' ' *
remarkable cures, where other medicines hua
