July 8, 1872, 13-2t Thf. Gnowrxr, Cotton* Cnor.?The Committee of Information of the New Orleans Cotton Exchango has published its monthly statement of the growing cotton crop. The report is dated July Gth, and contains details of information from all tho cotton States. Tho statement agrees with the report of tho Mobile Cotton Ex change previously reported. The general tenor of tho accounts arc favorable. The cotton worm has ap peared in some localities, but not to a sufficient extent to occasion alarm, tho worst feature so far bein<r the iact mat tiic weather is now such as to promoto the incrcaso of this pest. r The indications aro favorable fur a ' full yield in Alabama, Florida, Ten r nessco, North Carolina, CJeorgia, and Mississippi. In Louisiana and South Carolina an average yield is looked for, while in Texas the crop will be very large, provided the weather con f tinues favorable. Perhaps the worst q account comes from Arkansas, where only a bare averago is anticipated, even under tho most favorable condi f tions of the weather. But all the ac t counts from all the States concur in representing the crop as in a very much more promising condition and as looking and doing better than at this timo last year. The New Orleans Price Current, an excellent authority on the subjcct, estimates the crop at 4,000,000 bales, and later information received at the Department of Agri culture, Washington, confirms this view.
