T The composition on "Xevcr Say ] Can't," by Bettic Bullock, was vcrj rood and showed bIic was a gil'l o': nind and determination. Miss Stella Griffin is only taking tusic lessons. She has a fine car foi msic, performs w*ll and sinjjjs well, 'he smaller <rirls wrote letters to each 1 ?lher. This is a good exercise. They all had good letters and read them with case. The hoj*s made speeches and acquitted themselves handsomely. There were two dialogues acted, which were very good, and lent a good deal of charm to the occasion. In order to stimufuto her smaller scholars, Miss Snmpio put up two prizes to those who stood highest at the end of the session in recitations and deportment. Irene Bradley and Mamie Watson tied, and each received a nico present from their kind tcacher. This was one of the niccst exhibi tions I ever attended, and reflected i^rcal credit upon Miss9 Sumpie and her scholars. The patrons are form natc in geiung one so wen qnaiinea.
