Greensboro', Georgia. Abbeville Prets and Banner: Greensboro', Georgia, in Grcon County, is situated on tlio Georgia Ifailroad, midway from Augusta to Atlanta. The city was incorporated in the year 1856, and numbers about eighteen hundred inhabitants. The public buildings aro a Court House, City Hall, Council Chamber; and Market all of Biielc, and Jail ofl Stone Mountain Granite. The Court House is a very imposing buiding of threo stories, built after the doric order. On the first floor is the Post j Offioo, and offices for Ordinary, Slier-: iff, <fcc. It is situated in the centre of the cit}' on the public square and t>ur rounded by a.group 01 uooiu ucw. i The jail is. as sombro and gloomy as is possible for the Egyptian style to make it. There aro three Church es for the whites and two for the blacks. Metlioijist, Baptist and Epis copal denominations for the whites, and for the blacks are located at (,Ca anan,'' about half a mile from the Court IIqu3c, where they have Had preaching every uight for twp years or more.
