Tlio exhibition and examination of
the Mulberry School of colored pupils
in Calhoun Township, taught by Alfred
Burton, came off on Saturday,
10th inst. The school, numbering
45, generally st&od a good examination
in spelling and reading, (so said
competent judges,) and did credit to
themselves in delivering their pieces
of poetry and speeches, considering
the short time they had been gorng to
sc hool. There was a good substantia!
dinner, and every person had plenty,
and were well pleased. The Abbeville
Brass Band gave some good mu-j
