Tn December 1831 Mr. Fair publicly
gave in his adherence to the Lord Jesus
Christ. His character, lovely from
childhood, soon, under the jrrneious influences
of the spirit, exhibited unmistakable
evidence of genuine conversion.
He belonged to a class of christians sadly
rare in the present generation. There
Is a class of churcii members in who-e
piety no one believes: another whose
piety is regarded doubtful; another whose
piety is admitted in the exercise of charily;
and lastly a class whose piety no
