Amendment of the Election Law'One
of tho most important mens
. urcs of the Session is tbo bill introduced
'ky Senator Corbin, for the
sunendmeat of the present odious
election law of the State. Tho bill
proposos to roraovo tho most objectionable
features ot the present law,
and if properly enforced would seem
to^fTord a sufficient safeguard against
$ho frauds which may bo perpetrated
under tho law as it now exists.
The. first section of tho bill amends
tho-third section of the Act, bo that
of the threo Commissioners, and
Ahreo Managers of Election, one at
Jeafct of each shall be appointed from
-caeb political party.

amends tho thirteenth section of the
.Aet, by striking out the words "eack
