the two contending nations of Europe,
and we hope and believe the
consummation is not iar off. All the
nations of the world, including the
beligerents themselves, are anxious:
for it, and there really does not aj pear
to be any serious difficulty in its
attainment^ so far as tho terms are
concerned. If Prussia *and Franco
could bo brought face to face, we
think there would be no serious diffi- t
culty in agreeing on a settlement. r

to regard the parties who have forcibly
