Sec. 3. Trial Justices shall be com '
missioned and hold their offices for 1
the term of two years, unless soono?removed
by the Governor. If a Trial
Justice changes his domicil, and removes
therefrom tho distance of
three miles, his authority and jurisdiction
as such Justice shall thereupon
cease, and another Trial Justice may
bo designated and appointed in his
place.
Sec. 4. The Governor is authorized
to suspend from his offico. for such
causes as shall seem just, anjr Trial |
Justice, and to designate another per-1
son to perform tho duties of such
suspended officer (who, in turn, may
be removed and another designated,)
and lie sisal! report such suspension
to the Senate, together with the
name of the person designated by
him to perforin tho duties of such
suspended officer; and if the Senate
confirms the person so designated, the
officer suspended shall be regarded as
removed, and the vacancy duly filled;
but if tho Senate refuses to confirm
him, tho suspended officer shall be
restored to his office.
Sec. 6. This act shall take effect on
and after the first day of May next,
but the Trial Justices herein provided

Sec. G. That during the vacation
of the Senate, the Governor is authorized

unless sooner removed by him, till the
end of the next session. If not approved
by tho Senate, said appointments
shall cease at the end of the
said session.

all able bodied persons, and all mule
persons able to perform, or cause to
bo performed, the labor herein required,
between the ages of eighteen and
forty-five years, shall be liabie annually
to perform such days labor on the
public highways and roads as shall
not exceed ten days, in one year, tinder
the direotion of tho Commissioners
of the County in which lie shall
reside : Provided, That if any person
being warned as hereinafter provided,
Rhallpay to the County Treasurer- of
tho County in which he may reside
the sum of one dollar per day, after
being notified by the Commissioners,
the same shall bo rcecfived in lieu of
such labor, and shall be applied by

shall bo deemed guilty of u 1
misdemeanor, and .subject to pay a
line of not more than one year, or
both each fine and imprisonment, in
the discretion of the court; and every
body so convicted shall forfeit all i
such spirits, the same to vest in the I

spirits forfeited, one-half thereof shall 1
