18G3, not excepting however the
bonds issued for building the New
Slate House. The great objection to
this bill is that it has been lobbied
through the House, in the interest of .
a set of speculators, who have
bought up the Slate bills at 15 ecnts
on the dollar, and exchanged them lor
bonds at par. 1
