arid 2,000 of upland ; of the swamp there is cleared
about 500 acres, and of the upland about 100. More
than one half of the cultivated land is fresh, having
been cleared in the last 7 years. The uplands are
entirely healthy and are situated so as to afford
healthy settlements, at a convenient distance from
the swamp lands. There are on the plantation, a
grist mill and two cotton gins, propelled by water,
and near the centre of the plantation. There is also
on the plantation, a slock of cattle and hogs and 4 or
5,000 bushels of of corn, which might be purchased,
if desired, with the plantation.
The terms of payment would be made easy to a
purchaser. Any further information may be had by
application to the subscriber, in Camden. Possesion
would be given either the present season, so soon as
the crop is gathered, or the next, as might best suit
the purchaser. W. M WILLIE

Valuable Lands for Sale In
Newberry District.
fJTHE Subscriber offers for sale that well
JL known tract of Land known -as HENDER
SON'S ISLAND, containing four hundred and forty
Acres, more or less, with about two hundred and
twenty acres cleared, and in a high state of cultiva
tion. As a Cotton Plantation, it is equal to any in
the District ; and equal to any in the State for grain.
The subscriber has sufficiently tested the health of
the Island, having planted it for the last six or eight
years, and*resided himself on it all the time : his ne
groes have been as healthy as on any plantation in
the same latitude in the State, and he has not had to
pay one hundred dollars for doctor's bill during the
time. The improvements are such as are common
on plantations ^ a good gin-house and screw, negro
houses, and overseer's house. That portion of jhe
forest land on the island, with the exception of a very
small part, is equal to any in the Slate. The island
is situated in Broad River, about 43 miles above Co
lumbia, atrd within three miles of Maybinton, in
Newberry District, having a good boating navigation
from the gin-house yard. I deem further description
unnecessary, as persons wishing to purchase will
wfth to examine it befor^ purchasing. The price
and terms will be made known by application to the
subscriber, on the premises.
