Nance, by a negro man slave, named Jack, the property of George M'Alliley, -I and that the said negro Jack has fled from justice, ... IRON MANUFACTURING COMPANY. AT a meeting of the Directors of this Company, held at the CheroKee Iron Works, 12th Sep tember, 1836, the following Resolutions were passed, of which all concerned will please take notice. "Whereas, the second,- third, and fourth instal ments on the Stock in the- South Carolina Iron Man ufacturing Company become due as follows, viz: 25 per cent, on the first of January next. . 25 per cent, on the 1st of January 1838 ? and 25 per cent, on the first of January 1839. Be it therefore Resolved, That a failure to meet the above payments at the time required, or within thirty days thereafter, with interest, (from the time for payment until paid) will be considered a forfeiture of the amount already paid in, to the use of this Company. TO the Jail of Richland District, as a Runaway, a Ne?n-o man, who calls his name NED, and says he belongs to Vincent Carr, a Sugar Planter, on the Mississippi river, in the State of Louisianna, and says he ranaway on April last. Ned is about twenty five years of age, about five feet five inches high, dark complexion, has lost his two upper front teeth. Ned says he was raised in Charleston S. C., by John Maybank, and sold by him to Harry Bow man, and by Bowman, to his present master, Vin cent Carr. Books shall be opened on the 1st day of March next, at the counting house of D. & J . Ewart & Co., for an additional subscription of one. hundred thousand dollars to the capital Stock of the Company. New subscribers will be admitted into the Company on the same terms and on the satxe conditions of original sub scribers. Ten dollars a share on each share of one hundred dollars, will be required at time of subscribing, and ten dollars a share at the end of each and every sixty days thereafter, until the whole will be paid. A failure to com ply with these terms, will inure in a forfeiture of the stock for the benefit of the Company. The Company having one fourth of the mill filled with machinery, and now i.i operation, and another fourth in progress of setting up, are able to calculate to a reasonable degree of certainty, the value of their undertaking.
