The local of tho Cleveland l'laindealer

We have uowsomothing of n treinondous*
ly icy nature to chronicle which happened l
here at home. Last week a Mile. Melville
was announced to walk one hundred con
secuitve nours at the Clipper Shades, Seneca-atrcet.
Mile. Melville appeared, and
with a-slow and stately tread peraiubnlatcd

dress. She was graceful in lorn)
and lithe iu motion. Her face she kejft
closely veiled. Mile, divw large audiences.
Tho receipts during tho "1U0 consecutive
hours" amounted to over $4U0. Stories of
Mile, peerless beauty circulated freely and
were eagerly hwallowed. Gentlemen un ;
deriook to oouccrvc with Mile, but sheonly
shook her head in reply. She was French
and could speak no Knglish. Among the
most constant visitors at the Clipper Shades
during the "walking" was a young lariner j
from Marion county, lie fell ill low with
Mile. . lie became what is sometime i called
"dead struck." His feelings got so worked |
up at last that he offered her through her j
business man, his hand in marriage, after
being assured that she was chaste and ami- J
able. The business man conveyed the offer i
to Mile., who said she would think of it, At
length the walking closed and Mile, disappeared.
The youncr farmer bunted Wiloly
through the city tor her. but she was nut to
be found. He met a retired sporting-roan,
who informed him that the walking lady's

Ague Cure,

Intermittent Fever, or Fever nml Ague,
Remittent Fever, Chill Fever, Dumb
Avne, Periodical Headache, or Bilious
Headache, and Bilious Fevers, indeed
for tho whole clnss of diseases originating
in biliary derangement, canned
by the Malaria of miasmatic countries.
No one remedy is louder called for by the
necessities of the American people than n sure
and safe cure for Fever and Ague. Such
wo are now enabled to offer, with a perfect
certainty that it will cradicnte the disease,
and with assurance, founded on proof, that
no harm can arise front its use in any quantity.
That which protects from or prevents this
disorder must be of immense service in the
communities where it prevails. Prevention is
better than cure, fur the patient escapes the
risk which he must run in violent attacks of
this baleful distemper. This "Cure" expels
the miasmatic poison of Fever A.vn Anus
from the system and prevent* the development
of the disease, if taken on the tirst approach
of its premonitory symptoms. It is
not only the best remedy ever yet discovered
for this class of complaints, hut also the
cheapest. The large quantity we supply for
a dollar brings it within the reach of every
body; and in bilious districts, where Fever
and Ach e prevails, every body should have tt j
and use it freely both for cure and protection. ,
It is hemed this price will place it within the
rra. h of all?the poor as well as the rich. A i
great superiority of this remedy over any ,
oilier ever discovered for the speedy and cer- 1
tain cure of Intermittent!* is, that it contains .
no Quinine or mineral, consequently it pro- |
duces no quinism or other injurious effects ;
whatever upon the constitution. Those cured
by it arc left as healthy us if tlicj liod never
hud the disense.
Fever and Ague is not alone the cor-equenco
of the miasmatic poison. A great variety of
disorders arise from its irritation, among which
arc Neuralgia, Uheumotism, (Jout, Headache,
blindness, Toothache, Earache, Catarrh, Asthma,
I'ulpitation, Painful Affection of the
Spl vn, Hysterics, Pain in the How els, Colic,
Paralysis, and Derangement of the Stomach,
all of which, when originating in this cause,
put on the intermittent type, or become periodical.
This "Cure" expels the poison from
tin* blood, and consequently cures them all
alike. It is a t invaluable protection to lnimip.
nits and persons travelling or temporarily
icsidhig in "She malarious districts. It' taken
c<va*i i.nlly or daily while exposed to the inf?

and cannot accumulate in suflicirnt quantity

valuable for protection than core, and few will
ever suffer from Intermittent*, if they avail
themselves of the protection tliis remedy ai- !
