between the ages ol twenty-one and flfty

of Broker* and Bankers, and on all
Incotnea derived from the Commission Business,

Law, Medicine and Dentistry, and from the
Business of Daguerreotyping Amhmtyuiug
and rhotographing, within the limits of the
City?the amount of income to he estimated
(rom the 1st day of January, 1871, to 1st
January, 1872 } the above lax to he paid

Gail* or other vehicles going to or from

City.
Itinerant Traders and Auctioneers.
Skc. 7. Five dollars a day shall he paid by
every Ii>tinera?t Trader or Auctioneer offering
for sale within the corporate limits of the
City, at Auction or otherwise, any Goods,
Wares and Merchandise, to he paid each day
in advance; and every Itinerant Trader .or
Auctioneer liable to the Tax aforesaid, and
who shnll fail to make payment, shall be fined
Ten Dollars for each day lie may so offend :
/VwWfd, The provisions of this Section shall
not be so construed as to apply to the ordinary
dealers in grain, fruit, potatoes, tobacco,
poultry, iron ware, earthen ware, or other produce
or manufactures of like character.
Billiard Table* and Ten Fin Alley*.
Skc. 8. That an Annual Tax of Fifty Dollars
shall be paid upon each and every Billiard
Table, and Twenty-Five Dollats upon each
and every Nine or Ten Pin Alley kept within
the limits of suid City fur profit; said Tax
to he puid before License shall be granted.
Any person opening the establishments mentioned
in this Section without having first obtained
a License and given bond in the sutn
of Two Hundred Dollars, conditioned to ohservo
the laws of the State and City, shall he
subject to a fine not exceeding Ten Dollars
for each day each establishment shall be kept
open or used.
Skc. 8. That no Equestrian or Theatrical
Performance, or other Exhibition for gain,
shall lie hud in the City ot Greenville, without
a License therefor bciDg first obtained from
the Mayor, nnd payment for said License
made in advance to the City Clerk, as follows:
For each nnd every Fi|uestrinn Exhibition,
Fifty Dollars ; for each nnd every Sido
Show, a sutn not less than Five Dollars, nor
exceeding Twonty-Fivo Dollars, as the Mayor
shall determine. Fur Theatrical and other
Exhibitions for gain, such sum us the Mayor
shnll determine. And each and every person
exhibiting for gain, without having first obtained
a L:cenee and tbo payment of suid Tux
in advance, shall be fined in a sutn not less
than double the amount of said Tax, in manner
hereinafter provided for the imposition of
fines nnd lorfeitures.
Sec. 10. That no person, firm, company or
corporation shnll he engnged in, prosccuto or
carry on any trade, business or profession, unci

Twelve Dollars. Each first-class Hotel, Twenty-Five
Dollars ; each second-class llotcl, fifteen
Dollars; each Saw Mill, Ten Dollars;
each Corn Mill grinding under IS,00b bushels,
Ten Dollars, and over 3,000 hushels, Twenty
Dollars; each Flouring Mill, Twenty Dollars*;
each Cotton Gin, Ten Dollars ; each Cotton
Press, Five Dollars ; each Livery Stat-le, Ton
Dollars ; each Gas Manufactory or Works,
Ten Dollars; each Printing Establishment,

issued by virtue of this Section shall be
collected on the 1st day of March next and
shall cover the year 1871 ; and all Business
