The King's Daughters
For several weeka the president of
the King's Daughters in Columbia,
have tried to get a meetiug of this
\ once helpful society and strange to
say every effort of the kind has faded
This certainly ought not be. Thia
organization once stood for much in
j thia city and tor it to become dor?
niant or looa? it* good name and re-j
I potation is too bad. The christian
ladies of the various churches should
bestir themselves and connect their I
names to this once noble order and
if need be reorganize it, then let them
go to work in "His name" and do
good to the deterring poor among us.
The white ladies of Columbia would!
not for a moment think of allowing
their Kings Daughters to die or be
come of no effect, and our Christisn
ladies ought also take an interest in
auch societies for humanity sake.
This is written with tho hope of it
stirring up our christian woman to
a greater work of usefulness and we
trust it may have the desired affect.
