Its situation on the River will give it every advantage to be expected from the opening of the Wateree now abont to be rendered navigable from the Mountains to Camden, by the Portage being formed at Rocky Mount : and, it lies near where the road will in all proba bility be marked out to connect Camden and Charlotte, N.
