really good for weak eyes, to see the perfect

walk, of an evening, along the Engineers
ground.-:. It is onr only gran 1 promenade.
Vv'hcn the Nov Hotel is ready and the
Hospital completed, with the plank walk
extended along the entire front, the
banks graded and grassed over, it will be
delightfully attractive along the beach,
not only to cur own citizens but to travellers
from the interior who will hereafter
have to make this the new "Point
Comfort" of the South.
Mosey at Last.?The Antyn, on her
la.'t trip, brought down three millions of
fn ilicr lmvmastersof the The De

lulls are properly ma le out and corrected,
this lai^jc amount will be disbursed to
the various regiments throughout the
command and business of all kinds Will
revive. it will probably be several
weeks before the payments can commence.
Major Elliott, our Chief Paymaster, is
now absent at the North on otiicial business
but is expected here 011 an early

is in cireuLtinn and has beennumerously

to re-Cstablisli the U. ?S. District
Court for South Carolina as soon as practicable.
We learn that a similar movent
nt is on foot both in Charleston and
Dean fort. With the new interests that
have been created bv change of property
and revival of trade, it is eminently desirable
that a tribunal should be established
to adjudicate matters which may
come into controversy. We hope the
thing may be done speedily.

CAUTION
FROM
Tho American Watch Co<
It having come to our knowledge that imitations
of the American Watch have been put qm
1 the inaAct in great numbers, calculated, by their
utter worthlcssness, to injure the reputation of
our genuine products, to protect our own interest^
and the public from imposition, we again
publish the Trade .Marks by which our watches
may invariably be known.
We manufacture four styles of Watches,
The First has the name
' AMERICAN WATCH CO., Waltham, Mass.,"
engraved on the inside plate,
'The Skcoxd lias the name
"API'LETON, TRACY, k CO., Waltham,
Mass.," engraved on me inside ptaic.
The Thiud has the name
"P. S. BAUTLE'lT. Waltham, Mass.," cngrav011
the insiilc plate.
All the above styles have the name American
Watch Co., painted on the dial, and are warrrnted
in every respect.
The i'ocBTH has the namo
"W'M. EI.LEKY, Boston, Mass.," engrave*! 011
the inside plate, and is not named on the dial.
All the above described Watches are made of
vnri< >us sizes, and are sold in gold or sivor eases
xs may be required.
It is"hardly possible for us accurately to describe
the various imitations to which we have alluded.
They ar<' usually inscribed wit1 names so nearly
approaching our own as to 1s tpe the observation
of the unaccustomed bin. r. Some an? represented
as made by the " I uion Watch Co., of
Boston, Mass."?no such company existing.
Some are named the "So: tier's Watch," to Ih>
sol 1 xs our Fourth or Win. Ellery style, usually
known as the "Soldier's Watch;" othcra are j
named the " Applcton Watch Co.:" others the I
' P. 8. R-.rt Vy," instead of our P. S. Bartlett, be- I
sides many varieties named in su :h a manner as |
to convoy t!:?- that they arc the veritable productions
of tin American Watch Co.
