the extension division of Clemson
College.
It is urged that every farmer put
his farm machinery under sheds. :
In the past steel and iron have
been so cheap that we have formed
ahablt of wastinir it. but we must
conserve It now. It's not only good
business but a patriotic duty aH well.'
The supply of iron and steel used
in the manufacture of farm machinery
will be cut as low as onehalf
the amount used for that purpose
last year, reports Indicate.
After the machinery has been put
under the shed give every implement
a good overhauling and fix i
each up In tip-top shape. It pays.
Look the cultivation, harrows and
mowers over and see If new parts
will be needed. Send for these
parts and do the repairing before
he time comes for using the implement.
And by the way, if you have to
V'ulld a shed be sure to construct
#one large enough to accommodate
