her seventh birthday on Wednesd >
afternoon, February 21. About a
dozen boy and girl friends were present,
and many jolly games made sunshine
indoors, in spite of the inclement
weather without. Confections
were served.
Miss Lillie McManus, with a number
of friends, celebrated Washington's
Birthday by having "a Tackie
Party." The costumes were many
and ludicrous, and their freaklsbcess
created much merriment. The
prize, a tiny fan in a huge box. was
won by Miss Cleo Sowell. Punch was
served during the evening.
The home of Rev. and Mrs. H. R.
Murchison was a scene of joyous festivity
on Thursday evening, February
22, when an oyster roast was
given by them to the officials, Sunday
school teachers and choir of the
Presbyterain church. This unique
affair was doubly enjoyed, because of
its being out of doors before a glorious
fire.
