Mr. Emanuel Hirsch, who has been

manager of the Carolina Hotel, Rock
Hill, was in the city Wednesday. lie
was greatly impressed with the progress

Mr. Bruce Williams of Heath
Springs was in the city Tuesday
evening shaking hands with his many
friends. Bruce is always a welcome
visitor in Lancaster where he has
a large number of friends.
The many friends of Mr Alhert
Tinsley will be pleased to learn that
he is again able to be on the streets
after having undergone an operation
for the removal of a severe carbuncle
on his shoulder, at the Columbia hospital.
