October IS. si* o'clock at the First Baptist church of Lancaster, was celebrated a beautiful carnage ceremony, the contracting parties beine Miss Pearl McManus and Dr. Thomas Doster. The church was effectively decorated in green and gold colors. The side walls were draped in white and wreathed with large yellow chrysanthemums from which depneded lace like vines, southern etnilax and yellow jessamine. The chancel, organ gallery, and surroundings were covered and banked with yellow chrysanthemums sweeping ferns and cala lillies. The pews were adorned at the opening with graduated posts of white topped with huge chrysanthemums. The aisles were covered with white. The whole effect was an indescribable vision of mingling cold, green, wh te and gleaming lights. shortly before the appointed hour, and to a crowded house, was eiven a special selectei muMcal score. M ?! Aliua Duke Jone-. the accomplished music teacher of the Lancaster Graded School, presided at the organ. H?-r 2o?n was an exquisite creation of white duchess satin, garnished, with grateful cascading of silverlace. The long <>urt train was embroidered with pearls, and the flowing tulle veil fell from her coiffure and was caught upon the brow with a bandeau of pearis. She carried a shower bouquet of oride roses and valley lillies. Her maid of honor wore a remarkably beautiful gown of pink satin, elaborately designed, and trimmed with gold lace She wore gold slippers, and carried a bouquet of pink rose buds. At the altar the groom met her and they were joined in holy matrimony with the impressive ring ceremony. Soft strains of music added to toe beauty of the occasion. The McManus borne was Illuminated, and in the front hall Dr. and Mrs. McManus received tne wedding party. Mrs. McManus was gowned In handsome raw- silk of mingled, texture with lavendar trimmings. HE LANCASTER NEWS F1 Refreshing fruit frappe was served by several of the vestal virgins, and a sumptuous salad course with coffee was dispensed. The bride's dining room was elaborately decorated. and upon the table rested the pretty frosted cake. Miss Gladys Jones received the slice containing the ring, and Miss Kate McManui was the recipient of both the thimble and penny. Upon the table was a crystal bowl filled with good luca rice, and from under the rice fell narrow white satin ribbons. The dame of honor, the maid of honor and the bridemaids were requested to draw. Each one discovered a cute little gold heart depneding from her ribbon. The gifts were many and costly, attesting the popularity of the couple. The bride's going away gown was midnieht blue chillon broadcloth with accessories matching. They carry many wishes with them. They would not reveal their bridal itinerary DRY CREEK NEWS. Mr W.
