The News has Just been advised
that Mrs. Kliza J. Green of Blshopville,
S. C., died at her home In Blsh
uimue mai r nuay nigm, Hgea 67.
Mrs. Green, prior to her marriage,
was Miss Eliza J. Cureton, and for
many years resided in the Douglas
community in this county where she
is well remembered by a large number
of county residents. Interment
took place at Bishopville.

DEATH OF Mfts. J. C. JONES
Mrs. J. C. Jones of Great Falls',
died at her home this morning at 2
o'clock, after an illness of two weeks. '
Interment will be made at Shiloh
this afternoon. The services will be
conducted by Rev. W. S. Patterson.
Mrs. Jones was only 26 years of
age. She was married last November,
and is survived by her husband.
Mr. J. C. Jones, her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. R. D. ?Todd, and rive sisters,
Mrs. Roach Kennings. and Misses
Janie, Nannie, Irene and Margaret
Todd and three brothers. Messrs..

DEATH OF MRS. DAVIS. '
The entire community was /saddened
last Saturday afternoon when
it was learned that Mrs. Rebecca
| Davis, mother of Mrs. Robert Beaty.
had passed away at her residence on
Elm street after an illness of long
duration.
Mrs. Davis had been a member of
the Presbyterian church for several
years and she enjoyed the love and
respect of a large number of people.
Funeral servires were conducted at
the residence Sunday afternoon by1
Rev. Hugh R. Murcnison. assisted by
Rev. W. F. Patterson and Rev. F. N.
Skinner. A large number of friends ^
were present. Interment took place:

Mr, W. J. Armfield died at his
home at McRee, S. C., Friday, September
18th. after a week's illness,
at the age of 63.
He was horn at Tradesville. in this
county. May 18. 1853, being the son
of Dr. W. C. Armfield. He was a
member of the Baptist church for
about forty years. He had been in,
declining health during the past five I
years.
