KILLED HIS PARENTS.
Young Man Said to Have Admitted
Crime.
Palatka, Fla., Aug. 31.?John!
Muller, a young man of this city, is
held in jail on a charge of murder-j
ing his mother and father, the crime
having been committed late yesterday
afternoon. It is alleged he first
killed his mother and burled her
body several hundred yards away
from their home, then went out and!
waited for the return of his father,
first having dug a grave in which to
bury the body.
The father was killed before he
reached home and the body buried.
Iffuller was arrested late last night
and, It Is alleged, admitted his guilt,
saying; "I had to do it to get the war
tax."
The family moved here from Germany
several years ago.

of Saluda, his vote being 73,-]

Sam T. Carter has been renominated
for State treasurer over D. W.
McLaurln. his opponent, by about
the same majority as Sir. Dove won
by. the count to date being: Carter.
