Foister, chief engineer at the Avery plant of the company, would probably have lost his life yesterday when an ammonia pipe burst as a tank was bing filled. 1 Several workmen were partially over' i n b> the fumes, but Mr. Foister, who was nearest to the tank, was 1 knocked unconscious. The other 1 w orkmcti rushed outside to the air, r.ot knowing that Mr. Foister had fallen to the floor. He was found there by Miss Payseur, who dragged s the unconscious man to an outer " room, where she applied. first aid a measures.
