How to liuihrl and lfw a Fireles
Principle. The principle of th
fireless cooker is to retain the hen
obtained by first boiling the food fo
a few minutes. It is then placed i
the cooker which does not allow th
heat to escape. The food must b
heated in the same vessel in th
cooker. This vessel must hav

to cooker as quickly as possibh
Otherwise, heat will he lost. Ho
soapstones are sometimes placed i
the cooker with the food when high
er temperature is needed or longe
cooking desired. These may be pur

Advantages. 1. Time saving
while food is cooking, the house
keeper may be occupied with othe
duties without fear of its burning.

The Nest. The nest, to contair

Pueking. For packing between
the nest and outer container* some
material which heat will not pass
through quickly must be used. First,

then place the cardboard or asbestos
for the bottom of the nest. Next

while pressing the packing tightly
round it, leaving no air spaces.
When this has reached the top of the
