Mr. Lee Wright, who has been In
falling health for the past several 1
months, passed away Tuesday, De- !
cember 14, at the county home. Mr. ]
Wright was thirty-two years of age. i
The remains were taken to Taxahaw. I
where they were laid to rest Wednes- day.

The wedding of one of Lancaster's
most popular and promising young
men, Mr. Ira B. Jones, Jr., and Miss
Minnie Craig Taylor of Camden, has
been the ppntor nf Inrnl Inloroot
week. The lovely bride has on several
occasions visited in Lancaster,
where she has a number of relatives
and has already made many friends j
all of whom will give her a cordial
welcome as a permanent resident.
The best wisher of hosts of friends
are extended to the hoppy young j
couple. The following account of
their brillient wedd ng is taken from
The Camden Chronicle of today.
"A notable society event of the
season, and one of exceeding beauty
and of state-wide interest, was the
marrriage of Miss Minnie Craig
Taylor, of this city, and Mr. Ira Boyd
Jones, of Lancaster, which was solemnized
at the Presbyterian church at
r, o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The
church was tilled with a representa
live assemblage, and the edifice was
transformed into a sylvan bower.
Amid garlands of Southern smilax.
and banks of palms, the glitter of
innumerable white candles displayed
the brilliancy of the scene. The
chancel was outlined with smilax. ivy
and bamboo, against a background of
vNhite. and a number of young pine
tices lent a special grace to the occasion.
Miss Alberta Team played the
wedding march and several beautiful
selections preceding the ceremony.
When the deep noted ot the organ
vibrated with Mendelssohn's march,
no lovelier procession ever wended
its way to the church. The ushers
were Messrs. J. Snivrl Ilasell, Kennedy
Blakeney, Thomas Ancrum and
Jack Whittacker, Jr. Susie May Clyburn
and Cynthia Team, as flower
girls, were lovely in white frocks and
pink ribbons. T.iey carried baskets
of pink roses. The bride's maids
were Misses Vivian Yates, Camden;
Alta Anderson, of Charleston; Florrie
l.angston, of Darlington; Betty Jones,
of Lancaster; Hattie Meek Moore, of
R>ck Hill; Jean Lindsay, of Camden.
They all wore white dresses
and short white veils and carried
pink Killarney roses. The groomsmen
were John D. Wylie, of Lancaster;
Jack Beall, Charlotte: Curtis
Mackey, Lancaster; Norman Lvnc.i,
Charlotte; Clybnrn Taylor, Cam-Ion;
FostO" Moore, Lancaster. Miss Virginia
T:\lor, sister of (he bride was
maid of honor. She was dressed in
white lace, and carried pink roses.
Little Billy Lindsay was the tins
bearer and carried the masic golden
circle in the petals of a large pink
tose. The bride entered with her
father, by whom she was given in
marriage. She was a winsome pietare
of girlish loveliness in her wedding
gown of white Duchess satin
and georgette crepe entraine, its
shimmering folds drawn into modish
draperies and caught with clusters of
orange blossoms. Iler veil was fastened
to the coiffure with a wreath of
orange blossoms, and her (lowers
were white rose buds, showered with
valley lilies. She was met at the
altar by the groom with his brother
and best man. Charles D. Jones, of
Lancaster. The Rev. J. C. Rowan,
pastor of the church, united them
with the beautiful Van Dyke marriage
ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Jones
left on the northbound train for New
York and other points of Interest.
The bride's going-away costume was
a Handsome green " broadcloth suit
with hat and other accesories to
match. After the first of January
'hoy will be at home in Lancaster.

"After the rehearsal for the Taylor-Jones
wedding on Tuesday evening
an informal reception was given
at the Taylor home. The guests inrltided
the bridal party and near relatives
only of the bride and groom.
The rooms were simply but beautifully
decorated for the occasion. In
the dining room the bride's table was
the center decorations and was lovely
in its appointment, the wedding colors
of pink, white and green being
carried out. A tall vase of pink carnations
formed the centerpiece, and
white tulle trimmed with ferns fell
gracefully from the chandelier to the
four corners of the table, while
white candles twinkled merrily. In
the library an elegant array of gifts
wore displayed attesting the popularity
of the young couple and the
esteem in which they are held. A
salad course was served .lurint tho

New Heating riant for School.
The trustees of the Lancaster
graded schools have Just let the contract
for the installation of a modern
steam heating and ventilating plant
for the Central school building. The
contract for same was awarded to
the American Heating Department of
the General Fire (Extinguisher Company
of Charlotte.
