ture of Belgrade and Seniendria, ar
advancing southward, while the Bui
garians have sent forces to endeavo

tal of Serbia, and attack the Serb
on the Hank if they are driven bad
by German Field Marshal Mack
ensen.
The situation is admitted to be '
very serious one. not only for Serbia
but for the allied cause. It is as
sorted that the Serbians are Intlictini
very heavy losses both on the Austro
Germans and Bulgarians, but witl
their army of about a quarter of :
million men they are believed t<
have little chance of making any pro
longed resistance against three o
four hundred thousand Austro-Ger
mans and probably 200,000 Bui
garians. They are arranging for tin
transfer of the capital to Monastir, ii
the extreme southwestern corner o
the kingdom.

her Serbian ally in case of an attack
