Threatt, at the residence of the bride's father, by Rev. S. R. Brock. ' Ilinson-Sims. Mr. Roy J. Sims of Longsville and Miss Annie Hinson of the Fork Hill section were married Sunday, December 20, at 12 oclock m. at Pleasant Plains Baptist church. Notary Public W. F. Bstridge officiating. This beautiful event was at the conolusion of the preaching services, and was witnessed by the entire congregation. A long, happy life is the wish of their many friends. Train heaves Track. Last night as the night train on the Lancaster & Chester Railway, due here at 8:25 o'clock, reached the n*ne mile post this side of Chester several box cars loaded with machinery for the Lancaster Cotton Mills and the pasonger coach felt the track. Fortunately no one was injured, but several of the box cars and the passenger coach were badly damaged. The track will be repaired today and the trains will be able to go through by this afternoon. Fire Monday night, about 10 o'clock, which originated in the front part of the atore room occupied by tlio Antuae-U picture show, owned Dy Mr. A. 11. Ferguson, Jr., In the brick building recently erected by the Lancaster Cotton Mills, completely destroyed the outfit of Mr. Ferguson and caused almost a complete loss of the stock of goods of Mr. W. C. Dees in the adjoining store room of the building. Both the fire departments of the mlll3 and the city responded promptly to the alarm, but the fire had gained such headway that nearly the entire building and contents were destroyed. Mr. W. C. Dees Is a hea\y loser as he only had $3,000 of insurance on a stock worth $8,000 or $9,000. Some of his goods were saved but they were badly damaged by the fire and water. Mr. Ferguson sustained a complete loss, having only $1,000 on hih piano and fixtures and $3 i<) on iiis moving picture machine. The brick building belonging to the Lancaster Cotton Mills was insured. Social News Miss Mary Locke Parron's tr.th birthday was the occasion of much pleasure to her friends, whose name Is legion. Five tables of rook provided the favorite amusement for the guests, who enjoyed an exciting series of games. Miss Pauline Jones Marlon, who scored highest, won the l rst prize, an attractive Christmas book. Miss Ethel Penny cut the oonsolation, which gavo her a dainty box of oaper.
