name is given, with honorable mention
on the honor roll of the Furman
Fitting School. Mr. Culp is a member
of the second class of the Fitting
School and is making a good record
there.

a sharp gale during the day. got
under the box-ball alley tent of
Plyler Brothers and razed It to
the ground. The hustling Plyler
boys are now busily engaged In reerecting
It and will be ready for
business again by tomorrow.

the prizes at the exhibition of tho

Late Saturday afternoon, while
the force In the store were busy,
some one abstracted from the safe
of J. F. Mackey Company, the door
of which had been left partially
open, a large pocketbook containing 1
several thousand dollars worth of
notes, mortgages and other papers.
On the same night some one entered
the office of the Lancaster '
Light & Power Co., and stole all the 1
loose change that had been left in 1
the till.
About a wek ago, Judge Moore's
larder was entered and a lot of pro- f
visions stolen.
Our citizens should be o nthe look- s
out for thieves, as it appears that
they are on the rounds at this time.
