a Ladles' Aid Society at Ebenezer
church Sunday, the 12th. The people
of Ebenezer expresses themselves as
very much pleased with the promised
good of this organization.

A most enjoyable party was that
given by Miss Molda Hodges in
honor of her house guest, Miss
Florence Moody of Greer. When all
her guests had assembled, the hostess
passed the score cards, tiny Jap- j
anese fans, and where rook was ^
at three tables, where rook was
played for an hour or more. The ,
living room was bright and spring-1
like with vases of yellow jessamine |
and lilacs. A salad course, followed
by Ices and cake were the dev
licious refreshments. Miss Hodges
presented a box of candy to Miss
Leila Gregory, who made the fortunate
cut for first prize after tving
with Miss Elfretda Poag. Jliss
Moody, as guest of honor, was given
a box of candy alsa.

Mrs. W. C. Dees entertained the
Mothers' Club at its last meeting.
Two papers on "Teaching Children
to be U^gelfish" were read, one by
Mrs. Nathan Hlrsch and the ether
by Miss Corinne Jones. In a buttonhole
contest Miss Maria Mayer won
the first prize and the booby went
to Mrs. J. V. Myers. During the

which were much enjoyed.

On Monday afternoon, April 13,
little Miss Sarah and Master Walter
Steele entertained a large number of
their little friends at an Easter egg
hunt, given at the home of their
grandmother's Mrs. B. Cunningham.
After an hour spent playing games
the children enjoyed hunting tho
eggs. Little Miss Elizebeth Murchlson
was the finder of the lucky egg,
for which a prize was given, a little
v Easter bunny. When the eggs were
1 gathered, the children were served
with orangeade and fruit.
