2 Regulations antinc an Prepared by Stat AN ACT To authorize the Executive Coi mlttee of the State Board of Ileal to Adopt, Promulgate and En for Holes and Regulations for the Bi terment and Protection of the Pub Health of the State of South Car Una. Section 1. lie it enacted by t General Assembly of the State South Carolina, That the executi committee of the state board health shall have the power to mat adopt, promulgate and enforce rc sonable rules and regulations, frc time to time, requiring and provi ing for the thorough sanitation ai disinfection of all passenger cai sleeping cars, steamboats and otli vehicles of transportation in tl state, and also of all convict < ami penitentiaries, jails, hotels, schot and other places used by or open the public; to provide for the cat segregation and isolation of perso having, or suspected of having, ai communicable contagious or inft tious disease; to regulate the met od of disposition of garbage, or se age, and any like refuse matter in near any incorporator town, city, unincorporated town or village the state; to provide for the the ough investigation and study of t causes of all diseases, epidemics, ai otherwise in this state, and t means for the prevention of conta ions disease, and the publication ai distribution of such information may contribute to the preservation the public health and the preventii of disease; to make separate ordc and rules to meet any emergency 11 provided for by general rules ai regulations, for the purpose of su pressing nuisances dangerous to t public health, and commutiicab1 contagious and infectious diseas and other dangers to the public li and health: Provided. howev< That nothing herein contained shj be construed as in anywise limitii any duty, power or powers now pc sessed by or lieretorore granted the said state board of health or executive committee by the r.tatut of this state, or as affecting, modi! ing or repealing any rule or regul tion heretofore adopted by sa board.
