THE MOSQUITO PEST. i Like The News, our contem, poraries everywhere are urging upon their respective communi. ties the importance of taking ac, tion right now to minimize the dangers incident to the presence of mosquitoes and flies. We had , something to say about the fly pest in our last issue. Here are ' a couple of articles relating to the mosquito, both advising the adoption of the well known methods to make impossible the breeding of mosquitoes on one's premises. The Greenwood Journal says: Everybody in Greenwood, white and colored, should begin ' now to remove everything that will make it possible for the city to be filled with mosquitoes. It is said that an ounce of preventive is worth a pound of cure. Do not wait until these pests have taken the town and then I set out to make war on them, but make their coming impossi! hie. Remove everything that holds (Stagnant water, cut down all I weeds, and where it is impossii ble to get rid of the water, pour kerosene over it. and the work will be done.
