Florence special in Sunday's Columbia State: J Information reached the city I this morning of an unfortunate I accident in the Sardis section in I the lower part of the county yes- I terday afternoon, which resulted I in the death of Mr. Clinton Mc Leod, a well know resident of that community. Mr. McLeod was riding a bicycle on a road near a ditch when his wheel struck a hole and he was thrown into the ditch, his head striking ^ a root rendering him unconscious. He lay in the ditch until this morning when he was taken out unconscious and died a few hours alter. Mr. McLeod leaves a wife and several children. Fatal Accident on Lumbe. ^ Railway. Mullins, S. C., FApril 24.?Two persons were killed and three others hurt last night in a collision on the railway of the Mullins Lumber Company, near here. The logging crew, six in number, was returning to the town on a hand car. and the engine, with a H train of flat cars, was backing out to the logging camp. It was dark and the men did not perceive the approach of the train until too late. The dead are: James Carmichael, white, and David Lewis, ^ colored. Liquor Election for Florida Tallahassee. Fla.
