Mrs. John P. Hunter has resigned
her position as writer of the
social letter for The State. Mrs.
Hunter is a gifted and scholarly
writer and her highly entertaining
communications will be greatly
missed by our Columbia contemporary's

of the Laymen's Missionary
Movement in the Southern Presbyterian
church, is expected to

When Mrs. Howard rescued the
