perity. We regret that we shall 1

ing. But the tates have brought 1
us here and we have no com- (
plaint. For Columbia is a most
beautiiul city, one of the coming
cities of the South. Where is
he and who is he w ho does not
love his state and the capital of
his state* Surely any man who
has ever seen Columbia and i
doesn't like it should be treated
for "mental absence." And now

Yes, there are many improvements
which either have been or
will be made and the good work (
is going on now. The streets
are being beautified. The state s
house grounds are now a thing c
of beauty and work is still being i
done which when completed will i
be a credit to the grand old com- ^
monwealth, South Carolina.

The moving picture show is a s
fad-in Columbia. There are six tl

the Columbia Theatre is a cam- a
