A. Visit to the Battlefield of
Gettysburg;.
The following paper was read
at a meeting of the Lancaster
Chapter, U. D. C., by Mrs. J
M. K ddle, and is published by
requi st of the Daughters of the
Confederacy :
The population of Gettysburg
is about four thousand and lit#
hundred. The battle field is two
and a half miles from the town,
which is a very quaint, old looking
place.
Only one person was killed
in the town during the
battle ol G"i iysourg, which
