As we predicted, our Carolina
candidate, who is none other 4
than Judge A. L. Miller, was
elected by a good majority over (
his opponent, who while posing ^
as a straight-forward, honest man,

scheming politicians, although c
they worked hard and spent lots fj
of money in advertising and in (
betting on their candidate, may (
be attributed the principal causes j
