arrangement of this church is
of the old style, with its spacious 1
side and rear end galleries, just, c
such a building as would admit of 1
the most extensive and elaborate
decoration. Truly tbe experienced
decorator, Mrs. W. A. Law, seized
the opportunity afforded her and
by her finished product reflected (
the handiwork of old time polish- j
ed artist. Entering the church (
you were at once met with the ,
long while garlands bordered (
with green swinging beneath the (
galleries, looped here and there ,
throughout the entire building, 1
while entwined around the huge
columns resting along the aisles |
that had been laid in white were <
green wreaths in great prolusion, ,
with yellew chrysanthemums ; j
while in front of the church were (
erected two 6mall green arches, (
while between these two stood
the huge white arch, thickly en ^
twined with yellow and white
chrysanthemums.
Long before the exact hour
people were wending their way
along the streets to witness the
happy event, till the church was 1
filled to overflowing with the re- 1
latives and friends and acquaint- <
ances of the bridal pair, while ]
precisely at 5 o'clock the ren* <
dering of the weding march by 1
Miss Marie Bristow announced
the presence of the bridal
party, doming down the right
aisle was the father, J. W. Black
well, with the bride, beautifully '
attired in white liberty satin, i
with real French laces and car- ,
rying in her arms a large bou 1
quet of lilies of the valley, while
in me opposite mmo nun tn0
groom, with Mr. Leon Rico of
Anderson.
Following in quick succession
came the eight attendants, and
as the entire party neared the
end the beautiful white gates
stood ajar, admitting the bride
and groom beneath the great
white arch, trom which was suspended
the white marriage bell.
Here the Rev. R. W. Lide, in his
concise and impressive ceremony,
made them man and wife. With
the best wishes of all present the
bridal pair departed for an extensive
trip to Washington and

All of the bridesmaids wore
gowned in beautiful white silk,
trimmed in soft laces and wear
ing yellow sashes. All of them
carried exquisite bunches of yellow
chrysanthemums, tied with
long white ribbons.
