Hazing at Davidson.
Chatlotte. N. C ?Reports have
reached this ci'y of trouble at
Davidson college, at Davidson,
neat here, over hazing. It seems
that ? tew days ago a sophomore
threw a bucket, of water on a
freshman, and the trouble began.
It is said the freshman reported
the matter to Piet-ident Smith,
who reprimanded the soph. This,
it is stated, irritated the soph
class, and a meeting was hoi 1
when it was decided to adminis
ter a thrashing to the lr-shm*n.
It is reported that several memb-rs
of the ola-s had been using
the md of correction rather ireely
on the freshman, when the
president walked in.
