Another Account of the Re- 1
# cent Meeting of Moriah
Union.
]
Baptist .Courier: We have
, J had ? most delightful session of '
the Moiitth Union. We met with 1
the Second Baptist church, Lan- 1
caster, Fiida.v, Saturday and 1
i
Sunday. Ihe speaking was all
oi a high order, much of it
would do credit to our State
Convention, everybody was in a
fine humor and you couhl not
hav? told that it was raining if it
jun hadn't been tor the clouds
and drop? of water falling.
Brethren Dabney, Boldndge,
Judd aud Tom Blackmon and
the writer represented the ministry.
Bro. II. E. Small, I lie new
p >stor of Hea'h Springs, wa^
present lor a tew hours.
A number of gi ted laymen
contributed largely to the success
of the meeting.
Rev. Mr. Carter of the Methodist
church here was present
most of the time and took active
pari in the singing as well as it^
the speaking. 1 he usual collection
given to State Missions was
uuu'ually large, being about
$52.
T A Dabuey, the pastor of
the Second church here, is one
of the men who bring things to
pass. He is in such demand that
ho cannot possibly do all that
is expected ot him. Dr. Boldridge, ;
like the old wine in the parable i
of our Saviour, gets belter and
better all the time. If all his
Union meeting thoughts could 1
ho published it would make an
exceedingly instructive volume. ,
But I inu^t stop somewhere. \
Hine would tail me to tell of this 1
I
noble church mid its workers, of
Miss Julia Tyler, the consecrated
missionary worker here,of I). A. '
Williams, our efficient modern
tor, W. C. Thomson, W. %T.
Gregory and other genial and
able spirits of the First church
as well as many fine men from '
other churches of the Union. 1
Yours in Christ, i

Thomas A Edison, the great American inventor,

food or too much food; people arc
inclined to over-indulge fclinasulves". This
