the world, James B. McGregor,

shire, celebrated his 106th birlh

has been a Mason for 8d years,
having been initiated in 1827.

5,000 and 10,000 persons were
at the colored camp meeting a!
Mt. Carmel last Sunday, the
"big day" of their annual gathering.
Good order was observed.
There was considerable firing of
pistols on the grounds the day before,
however.
?The Lancaster graded schools
opened under favorable auspices
Monday morning, all the teachers
being preseut. The exercises
were opened with prayer by the
Rev. J. 11. Wilson, of Chester
