Married Man Charged with
Attempting to Assault
"Wife's Sister.

years old, was lodged in jai' here
last night charge with attemp'ing
to commit a criminal assault
upon his wife's younger sister,
at his home yesterday afternoon.
The story of the affair as re
lated to the sheriff i6 as follows:
Mitchell went to the home of
his mother-in-law and stated
that his wile was preparing to
go out tor the afternoon and
wanted to see her sister belore
going. On reaching her sister's
home, it is alleged, the young
lndv went in, and as soon as she
entered Mitchell followed, closing
the door behind him and
locking it. Mitchell's wife and
children had already gone away
and this was the method employed
by him to get the y<>ung iadv
to his home. Failing in his purpose
he unlocked the door and
the young lady went home and
reported the affair.
It is stated thai Mitchell followed
her part ol the way, begging
her not to tell it and threatening
to kill her it she did.
The social standing of the two
families involved makes the
whole affair a most deplorable
one.
Worn an Imprisoned in Chasm
