discreet persons shall be appoint- j
ed in each of the comities, wIiq'sc
compensation shall be, for each
member, $50 for each off year 4
and $100 for each election year.
Among the duties prescribed
by the laws of the State for this
board to discharge are those set
out in section 1ST of the code of
laws of this Sta'e, which section
is a* follows :
"The board of regiitrai ion
shall revise the list of registered
electors at lea?t ten days preceding
each election, and shall erase '
therefrom the names of a 1 regi*- -j
fered electors who may have become
disquahfie 1, or who, upon ?
satisfactory evidence, may appear
to have died, or removed from
their re pective coun'ios, or who
may have been illegally or fraudulently
registered: Provided,
